Studying the Word of God in Peru
Isa 1:18  Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
The Word of God is a joy to share with others wherever our travels may take us. God is served when his word is studied if it is shared with our next door neighbor or those we meet in foreign lands. It is through Bible study that those who are learned can grow and those receiving the Word can take their first steps in living a life for Christ.

Through hearing the Word of God those who are seeking the Truth are given the opportunity to believe God's Word, repent of and confess their sins, and through obedience to the Word be baptized for the remission of their sins to begin their Christian walk in this life.
Following These Bible Studies Many are Baptized......

Baptism is a symbol to the believer of the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and it is through baptism we symbolically come into contact with the "blood" shed for our redemption. Whatever the age we become aware of our need to be reconciled to God through Christ, the happiest moment in the life of a Christian is rising from waters of baptism.  This beautiful act of obedience powerfully represents the death of the old person and a rebirth to a new in person to walk in Christ.

Mission Report
By Paul D. Fisher

Dear Brethren,
I arrived home from Peru about 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. We had a great trip and give God the glory. The area we were in was very poor and many of us in the USA can hardly believe that people are living in the condition in which many are living in Peru. Although they are very poor, the people we saw and talked to were very friendly and welcomed us into their homes. I was on an evangelism team which was made up of one or two local brethren who knew the neighborhood that we were working in, a translator and an evangelist. We had close to 200 Bible studies in 6 days. From those studies we baptized 33 into Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins. Truly, there is power in the gospel of Jesus Christ. The people we baptized ranged in ages from 14 to 87. Many of these new Christians went out and brought other people for us to study with and helped in these studies, which was very encouraging....... Please pray to God to help these people!  They were very grateful for the medical help that we gave and when I have all the figures I will pass them along to you.

I also wanted to pass along to you the fact that there are two congregations of people in the interior of the country that are worshiping God just as the Bible commands. The preachers from these two congregations were [denominational] preachers who from their personal study realized that their church was not following what the New Testament taught, so they began to teach the people in their congregations and when they learned that in Peru there were those who were worshiping God after the New Testament pattern they sent word asking that this preacher come to them and help them. After a short time it became possible for this preacher to go and instructed them further and they were baptized for remission of their sins. Very soon they converted the congregations were they were preaching to the truth of the gospel, baptizing them for the remission of sins and worshiping God after the New Testament pattern.

Hopefully in the near future we will be able to go to these congregations with a mission team to help strengthen them. Please be praying for all the Lord’s church world wide. We have many brothers and sisters who we have not and will never this side of eternity meet, but they are there just the same.
In Christian love,
Paul
